Zespakusatsu Gumma

Zespakusatsu Gumma ( Japanese: ザ ス パ ク サ ツ 群 馬 Dzasupakusatsu Gunma , Thespakusatsu Gunma ) is a Japanese football club from the village of Kusatsu , currently playing in the second division of the J-League , the country's second strongest division.

The club was founded in 1995 under the name "Liaison Kusatsu" ( Liaison Kusatsu ). The club’s players were students of the Higashi Nihon Football Academy. In 1999, the academy closed, but the players decided to stay in Kusatsu and keep the club. In 2002, the club was renamed, as a result of which it received its current name. In 2005, the club entered the professional football J-League and to this day plays in its second division, mainly taking places in the middle of the tournament table. The club's best result in the second division of the J-League is 9th place in 2008 . The team spends home games at the Sikishima Stadium, which seats 10,500 spectators and is located in the city of Maebashi .
