The parish council of the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, guided by the decree of the ROCOR Synod of May 8, 2007, made decisions regarding the actions of the leadership and the entire parish after signing the act of canonical communion [7] :
1. The clergy and the parish, not breaking away from the ongoing process of unification of the two parts of the Russian Church into one-mindedness, remain in obedience to the Synod of Bishops of the autonomous (self-governing) ROCOR and its clergy, led by the First Hierarch Metropolitan Laurus. 2. Adhering to the decree of the Synod of Bishops of May 8, 2007, clergy and parish reserve the right not to commemorate the services of the Primate of the MP (Patriarch Alexy), but to remember only Metropolitan Laurus and the Diocesan Bishop of ZTs, which is given in this decree. 3. In an effort to preserve the parish in peace and integrity, the entire parish as a whole is called upon to respect the right of each parishioner to have an opinion in connection with events in the Church. Our sacred duty is to treat people with Christian love, without condemning anyone and without troubling, and by all means to protect ourselves from internal divisions. 4. By the grace of God, the Russian Church over the next time will find a favorable solution to all, insufficiently clarified issues. Time is the best healer, and at the moment, clergy and parishioners should perform their ministry in accordance with their calling, in patience, prayer, calmness and obedience.
