The 282nd Artillery Brigade “Golan” ( Heb. אגד ארטילרי 282, עוצבת גולן ) is a regular artillery brigade as part of the Gaash armored division of the Northern Military District of the Israel Defense Forces .

Content
Composition
The brigade consists of four medium-caliber divisions equipped with self-propelled M109 artillery mounts (in Hebrew, “Doher” - Hebrew דוהר doher ) [1] :
- The 405th division of mid-caliber artillery "Namer" ( Heb. נמר , literally: "Tiger")
- 411th division of artillery of medium caliber "Karen" ( Hebrew קר дос , literally: "Ray")
- The 404th reserve artillery division of medium caliber "Sheffon" ( Heb. שפיפון , literally: "Horned Viper")
- The 9260th reserve artillery division of medium caliber "Magen" ( Hebrew מגן , literally: "Shield")
Additionally, the brigade includes:
- The 334th division of “Raam” ( Hebrew. רעם , literally: “Thunder”), armed with MLRS (in Hebrew “Menatez” - Hebrew. מנתץ ) - missile launchers for MLRS and tactical missiles
- The 427th Maytar Division ( Hebrew. מיתר , literally: "String"), which is armed with the Spike anti-tank missile systems (in Hebrew "Tamuz" - Hebrew תמו )
- A company of reconnaissance targets brigade subordination ( Heb. יחמ"ם ма )
- Communications company brigade submission.
Brigade Commanders
Among the commanders of the brigade in the past: Amos Tor , Yehoshua “Shuka” Dorfman (1988–1990), Dan Harel (1991–1993), Reuven Benkler (1993–1995), Zvi Fogel (1995–1997), Michel Ben-Baruch (1999 —2001), Ilan Efrat (2002–2004), David Swissa (2004–2006), Roi Riftin (2006–2008), Amnon Meir (2008–2010), Yair Formosa (2010–2012) [2] , Ilan Levy ( 2012–2014) [3] .
Since 2014, the brigade commander has been Colonel Yoram Knafo [4] .
