History
In accordance with world practice in the development of rolling stock of railways, the railways of Ukraine faced the question of creating a diesel train with electric AC transmission using asynchronous traction motors. To solve this problem, an experimental diesel train DEL- 01-001 was built at the Lugansk diesel locomotive plant .
The test results of the diesel train DEL-01 showed that the implemented technical solutions basically confirmed the correctness of the selected design parameters. Based on the results of testing the DEL-01 diesel train, the control systems and component equipment were finalized and modernized, at the same time the DEL-02 diesel train was built, which was distinguished by a new design of the wagons and the cradle arrangement of the new diesel generator set. The design of the motor car was determined by the driver's cab, designed and manufactured by NPP Rost. Patent UA 12-03 dated June 12, 2003 for an industrial design βHead module made of composite materials for a rail vehicleβ. State Department of Intellectual Property of Ukraine. General information
The diesel train is designed to carry passengers in suburban traffic in areas with a temperate climate on 1520 mm gauge railways without electrification.
The main component of a diesel train is three cars (2 motor , 1 trailed ), formed according to the M-P-M scheme. The control scheme provides the possibility of operating two articulated diesel trains from one control station.
The number of seats is 336, including in a motor car - 100, in a trailed car - 136.
The main parameters for the diesel train DEL-02:
- Weight :
- Trains - 173 tons;
- Motor car - 64 t;
- Trailer car - 45 t;
- Length along the axes of automatic couplings - 75 750 mm;
- The number of seats - 336;
- The hourly power of the main diesel engines is 2 Γ 748 hp.;
- Tangential traction force on the rims of the driving wheels - up to 21,000 kgf;
- Structural speed - 130 km / h;
- The minimum radius of the passable curve is 125 m.
Specifications
The transmission of a diesel train is an electric alternating current, consists of a synchronous traction generator, a rectifier-inverter frequency converter, two asynchronous traction motors of the type AD-906. Power supply for traction motors - from autonomous voltage inverters. The microprocessor control unit provides optimal power transmission in various driving modes. The connection of the microprocessor unit with the control panel, diesel engine and the main transmission elements is digital .
The power plant of a diesel train type 12V 183 DE - manufactured by MTU (Germany). The power plant module is located in each motor car. The module consists of a diesel engine , a traction generator manufactured by the Scientific Research Institute βConvertor" LLC, an air filter, a radiator , a silencer. The drive module also contains power sources for control circuits, lighting and battery charging. The power unit is located under the body. The train diesel engine is V-shaped four-stroke four-cylinder with gas turbine inflation and liquid cooling. Power of each of two diesel engines is 550 kW. The fuel reserve is placed in the fuel tank mounted on the frame wagon car, and is not less than 1500 kg.
