Story
1977 year. The new archbishop of the small Latin American country of El Salvador is Oscar Romero, who has a reputation as a "book worm." The Vatican expects that he will not interfere in political events and maintain the neutrality of the church. At first he justifies these hopes. However, faced with lawlessness perpetrated by military dictatorship, including the killing of priests, Romero can no longer remain on the sidelines.
