Biography

He graduated from the philological faculty of Grodno State University ( 1999 ). She also works as an assistant professor at the Department of Polish Philology. Explores Belarusian-Polish literary relations (monograph “Factors of Belarusian culture in the work of Adam Mitskevich ”, Grodno, 2008).

Creativity

The Trens by Jan Kokhanovsky , the drama by George Konissky 's Resurrection of the Dead, some poems by Adam Mickiewicz, Leib Naidus , Rimantas Vanagas, Irakli Kakabadze translated into Belarusian.

The first book of poetry “The Duel” (Grodno, 1992 ) received a good assessment of literary criticism and aroused the interest of the reader, since the author was only 14 years old at that time. The preface to the collection was written by the famous Belarusian poetess Danuta Bichel-Zagnetova .

The collection of poems “Falling ў heaven” (Grodno, 2006 ) was released in a small edition - 100 copies, the entire edition was sold out at the first presentation. The collection includes works written in forms not previously seen in Belarusian literature - the acrotelestichi “Guitar” and “Svetlana”, as well as the multi-acrostic “Freedom”.

Arnold Macmillin, a researcher of Belarusian literature, professor of the University of London, notes the influence of decadent aesthetics on the poetry of Anatoly Brusevich. According to him, "Brusevich’s poems are full of sadness and misanthropy, they are erotic, but not vulgar." These qualities were most clearly manifested in the book “Apostle Zen” ( Minsk , 2013 ), created under the crossfire of two aesthetics at once - romantic and decadent. The poems included in this collection may at the same time seem gloomy and optimistic, combining in themselves the unconnected - spiritual stoicism and unambiguous hedonism.

A. Brusevich’s poems were also published in anthologies (“Labyrinths of a ghostly castle”, Bialystok , 2000; Anthology of Belarusian poetry of the 20th century “Beauty and Power”, Minsk, 2003, etc.), in Belarusian and foreign periodicals.
