The precipitate is concentrated phosphorus fertilizer with the composition CaHPO 4 • 2H 2 O. As a fertilizer it has the following advantages: high concentration of P 2 O 5 , good efficiency in all types of soils and for all crops, reduces soil acidity. There are two types of precipitate: the first contains at least 31% P 2 O 5 , the second - 27% P 2 O 5 [1] .

Properties
Slightly soluble in water , but soluble in organic acids .
Getting
- It is obtained by neutralizing phosphoric acid with a solution of calcium hydroxide at a temperature of 50 ° C:
H 3 PO 4 + Ca (OH) 2 = CaHPO 4 • 2H 2 O
- Or (also at 50C °):
H 3 PO 4 + CaCO 3 + H 2 O = CaHPO 4 • 2H 2 O + CO 2 ↑
