Four times participated in the Olympic Games : 1998 ( Nagano ), 2002 ( Salt Lake City ), 2006 ( Turin ) and 2010 ( Vancouver ) ^[3] .

In 2006, at the Turin Olympics, Lefteris Fafalis was the standard bearer of the Greek national Olympic team ^[4] and, by tradition, opened a parade of countries.

Fafalis is married to the 2002 Olympic champion in Salt Lake City, skier Viola Bauer ^[3] .
