History
Moshav was created in 1949 by immigrants from Czechoslovakia and Hungary , as well as several indigenous Israelis. Initially, the moshav was called “Mizra-Khar”, but was later renamed “Mazor”, which is derived from the name of the deserted Arab village “Al Mazari” [2] .
To the east of the moshav there is an archaeological site - a Roman mausoleum of the 3rd century. The mausoleum is the only building of the Roman era in Israel, which still stands intact from the foundation to the roof. Also near the mausoleum was found a mosaic from the Byzantine era.
Population
According to the Central Bureau of Statistics of Israel , the population at the beginning of 2018 was 1,329 people [3] .
