History
The church was founded in 1902 in memory of the very first of the Ural saints Simeon of the Verkhotursky Miracle Worker . The place for the church was chosen on the top of the hill - the highest point in the center of the new urban area of the Northern Sloboda, in the alignment of the new Ufa streets - Orenburg and Samara.
Consecrated in 1903.
Closed in 1932.
The building was desecrated and adapted for the training workshops of a nearby technical school. At first, the bell tower was demolished, in the postwar period - a huge domed drum. Several times there were arsons.
In 1990, the church was transferred to the Ufa diocesan administration. The church walls, brought to technical school by wear, had to be dismantled in order to rebuild. Shortly before the dismantling on the northern wall, the refectory miraculously appeared an amazing fresco "The Resurrection of Christ." In May 1991 she was drank (acquired) along with a section of the wall. In 1991-94 a new (also wooden) church was erected on the old foundation. The temple was rebuilt by the efforts of Fr. Andrei Shlykov and many donors, the most famous of which was A. B. Pugacheva [1] . The accuracy of the reproduction of the old temple was not set in the task, in terms of the external and internal appearance of the second Simeonovsky temple is different from the first.
