The album is very authentic in its mood and musical style and is not similar to any of the previous albums of “Aquarium”:
When recording the album, the old experience was forgotten. We did not have any reference points at all - there were only some intuitive presentiments about what to do and how. Boria first wanted to do everything so that it turned out to be unlike anything else. And it seems that it turned out! (From the interview with Andrey Surotdinov [1] .)
Boris Grebenshchikov about the album:
The album was supposed to be called "Psalms", simply, the elders talked me out of this name. The album is a psalm . There is not one psalm , there are nine psalms. That is, I follow the example of my relative, King David , wrote 9 psalms that I needed in my real life. Psalms, the first time in history, written to music hopak and mazurka . (From the BG interview [1] .)

- The line “The dead are burying their dead” from the same song can be a quote from the Gospel of Matthew : “But Jesus said to him: follow me, and let the dead bury their dead” [5] or from Harper Lee's novel To Kill a Mockingbird : “ Now let the dead themselves bury their dead. " [6]
- The line “This crack passes through my heart ” probably goes back to the words of Heinrich Heine : “When the world splits in two, the crack passes through the heart of the poet ” [7]
