Angola National ParksThere are 8 national parks in Angola [1] . In total, there are about 15 protected natural territories in Angola [2] .
By 1974, there were about ten protected areas in the country, six of them had the status of a national park. Angola's national parks, like other protected areas, have not been managed for a long time. Officially, there was a National Directorate for the Conservation of Nature, which did not carry out its functions. By decree 41/89 of July 1989, the official management and conservation of wildlife was transferred to the Forestry Development Institute (IDF), which was part of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. However, all these organizations worked in the capital of the country and only in the territory of Kisama national park was a field camp [3] .
Currently, administrative buildings have been restored in three national parks; another is able to receive tourists [4] .
