Akhmetov, Ravil Nurgalievich

Ravil was born in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk on May 25, 1948 .

In 1973, he graduated from the Kuibyshev Polytechnic Institute with honors ^[1] .

After graduation, he began working at TsSKB as an engineer .

He went through all the job steps: from engineer to head of department of TsSKB-Progress .

In 2006, R. N. Akhmetov was appointed First Deputy General Director - General Designer - Head of the Central Design Bureau .

Under his leadership, a new Soyuz-2.1b launch vehicle was developed ^[2] .
