Anthropological theory
The theory of B. A. Didenko suggests that humanity is not a single biological species, and within it latently there are several species that are poorly capable of crossing and have been formed at the stage of manifestation of modern humanity. The distinction of these species was caused by collisions related to cannibalism practiced in primitive times, which led to the emergence of 1) cannibals, “superaminals”, 2) “suggestors” imitating cannibal behavior, 3) “diffusers”, which are a common victim of cannibalism and constitute the majority human beings, and 4) “neoanthropes” who are able to withstand the suggestive effects of “predatory” species thanks to developed intellectual abilities. Representatives of different species play different roles in society, the dominant species currently are suggestors, which are distinguished by cunning and the ability to manipulate the minds of others. The theory has never been seriously considered by professional anthropologists.
Evidence of influence
The theory of B. A. Didenko (sometimes called the “Porshnev-Didenko theory”) was widely discussed on the Internet and in the press, in particular, among science fiction lovers. So, the story by Boris Rudenko “Those who are against us” describes the supernatural abilities of “neoanthropes”. The terms “superanimial” and “suggestor” are used in the stories of science fiction writer Andrei Dashkov “Superanimal” and “Dragon”, depicting an extremely gloomy post-apocalyptic future. At the end of the novel by science fiction writer Leonid Kaganov “The Epic of a Predator” contains a gratitude to “Boris Didenko - for complete nonsense.” As stated by Didenko himself, the ophthalmologist and political figure Svyatoslav Fyodorov "was an ardent supporter of pistonism and vidism" and even contributed to the publication of Didenko's works. In June 1999, Svyatoslav Fyodorov’s speech on Narodnoe radio station was built on the ideas of Didenko’s theory.
