Distribution

Northern Hemisphere: North America , Korea , Russia (Primorsky Territory), Sweden .

Description

Length about 5 mm. The venation of the fore wings resembles the Heloridae family. Mesoscutum with parapsidal grooves. Antennae 13-segmented. Abdomen without stalk, most of the segments merged into one large. Parasitize on the larvae of beetles from the family of the tree-eating ( Eucnemidae ) [2] . Prior to the description of the genera Heloriserphus Masner in Townes & Townes, 1981 and Sinicivanhornia He & Chu, 1990 was the only genus in the Vanhorniidae family [3] .
