History

In 1991, Major Patrick Wall wrote an UFO encyclopedia specifically for this organization [4] .

BUFORA investigates over 400 UFO cases per year. 95% of them are false [5] . The organization also creates special support groups for those who believe that they have encountered aliens [5] . The organization has held annual conferences since 1987 [2] and regularly meets throughout the country, as well as in the Randlsham Forest , which is a frequent gathering place for ufologists [6] . The organization openly criticized the British Government's Freedom of Information Act, in particular regarding UFOs [7] .

Interesting Facts

  • One of the entries in the UFO Encyclopedia, which was declared by BUFORA as genuine, later turned out to be a fake [8] .
  • In 1996, it was the only organization that approved the film, allegedly created by the US government, which shows an alien autopsy [9] .
