Geography
It is located 235 km from the regional center - the city of Petropavlovsk , near Lake Shyganak [3] .
History
The village was formed in March 1954 with the arrival of young people from the Moscow, Yaroslavl regions and Krasnodar Territory to develop virgin lands. Since 1963, the central estate of the farm "Timiryazevsky" [3] .
Population
In 1999, the population of the village was 5592 people (2751 men and 2841 women) [4] . According to the 2009 census , 4601 people lived in the village (2224 men and 2377 women) [4] .
As of January 1, 2016, the population of the village was 4415 people (2172 men and 2243 women) [1] .
