Biography
Britton began his career at Arsenal at the age of nine.
In 1998, Leon signed a contract with West Ham United . The transfer amount of the 16-year-old player for that time was astronomical - 400 thousand pounds.
Despite the efforts, young Britton will not be able to break into the first part of the London club.
In December 2002, Leon Britton joins Swansea City on loan, helps the club avoid relegation from the Second League of England , and becomes the best player in the 2002/03 season, according to fans. Coach Brian Flynn was impressed by Leon's game and after the lease ended, the club signed the player.
