Turn on the Bright Lights ( Rus. Turn on the lights brighter ) is the debut studio album of the American post-punk rival group Interpol , released on August 20, 2002 via Matador Records . The album reached the highest level of sales in the United States and was awarded the golden status from the RIAA for a circulation of more than 500,000 copies in August 2011 [16] . "PDA", " NYC ", " Obstacle 1 " and " Say Hello to the Angels " became singles from the Turn on the Bright Lights album, a clip was shot for each of them, except for "Say Hello to the Angels". Currently, the record is positioned as one of the tops of the post-punk riveal .
