Umskiptar ( Old Norse. Metamorphoses ) is the ninth studio album of the Norwegian music project Burzum , which was released May 21, 2012 [4] .

About the album
The album was released on the Byelobog Productions label in two versions - regular [5] and special, which is a two-panel digipack , made in the form of a book, as a whole with the booklet [1] . Back On Black also released a dual- record release [6] .
The author scooped the entire text of the compositions on the album from the famous song “ Elder Edda ” - Vǫluspá ( dr. Scand. [ˈWɔluˌspɑː] , Russian . The image on the cover of the album is part of the canvas of the Norwegian artist Peter Arbo on the theme of German-Scandinavian mythology - the goddess of the night Nott rides on a horse Hrimfaksi .
