Monuments of nature and history

Most of the territory around the village is part of the Beringia Nature and Ethnic Park. One of the attractions of the Inchoun site is Lake Ioni . The sites adjacent to it represent a lake- thermokarst plain. The lake itself is a "char water reservoir." In the thermokarst lakes around Ioni, the Red Book species of fish lives - the Beringian (black) dallium .

Not far from the village at the western end of Cape Uten is an ancient Eskimo settlement, called by archaeologists Paypelgak (along a stream flowing nearby). The results of studies indicate that the Eskimos lived in these places almost 3 thousand years ago. Here is one of the largest walrus rookeries in Chukotka.
