Biography
The son and student of Cornelis Christian van de Zandt, a piano teacher at one of Rotterdam's music schools, also studied under the guidance of Friedrich Gernsheim . In 1884 he studied under Franz Liszt in Weimar ; In this year's letter, Anton Bruckner refers to de Zandt as a representative of the Weimar circle, who conveyed to him a general admiration for his Third Symphony [1] . In 1889 - 1896 taught at the Stern Conservatory in Berlin, then at the Cologne Conservatory , later continued teaching activities in Cologne, but in a private way.
