Biography
Nine-time champion of Nigeria. In the 1990s actively participated in various international competitions, specialized in the 400-meter, won two gold medals in the individual competition:
- 1992 - at the World Cup in Havana (44.99 p.),
- 1997 - at the World Indoor Championships in Paris (45.51 p.)
Among other achievements:
- 1993 - Silver medalist at the Indoor World Championships in Toronto,
- 1995 - silver medalist at the Indoor World Championships in Barcelona,
- 1995 - Bronze medalist of the World Cup 4x400 relay in Gothenburg.
He was a participant in three Olympics, but only managed to win the medal in the 4x400 relay race in Sydney, where he became a silver medalist in the national team (2: 58.68).
After finishing his sports career in 2001, he worked as technical director of the Athletics Federation of Nigeria.
