Biography
Vadim Belokhonov started playing football at the age of three at the Sayany sports club. In the 80s he stood out from many talented and capable young football players in Zelenogorsk.
The turning point in his football career was military service. Belokhonov admitted that his development was influenced by the commander of the battalion, who was very fond of sports. The guy spent all his free time in the gym with the ball [2] .
For the first time, young Belokhonov was noticed in 1992 at the Krasnoyarsk amateur tournament, where he played for the army team. After the tournament, the guy approached the head coach of Metallurg Alexander Chisinau and invited him to his team. At the same time, Belokhonov could go to Boguchany’s “Angara” , but in the end he chose Metallurg. Later, the football player recalled:
- ... I think that the Boguchany would not have solved the issue with the army, and the option with Metallurg looked promising. And the part in which I served then became the base for the young guys from the Krasnoyarsk team ... [2]
Since 1992, Vadim Belokhonov played for the Krasnoyarsk Metallurg . In those days, Metallurg played for a long time in the first division . During this time, Belokhonov was able to break the record that belonged to the current sports director of the Yenisei Yuri Sipkin , who has more than 90 goals.
A prominent role in the career was played by the famous Russian coach Alexander Chisinau . After Metallurg left the first division due to financial problems and moved into the second league of the Russian championship , Vadim played with Tom and Orel .
In 2004, Chisinau became the coach of Metallurg, and he again invited him to the team. Vadim did not hesitate for a long time and accepted the offer of a mentor. The return to Metallurg was also influenced by the fact that Vadim had a son, Akim. According to the results of this season, Krasnoyarsk Metallurg took 4th place in the second division of the Vostok zone.
Coach Career
In May 2010, 36-year-old Belokhonov became a playing coach of the amateur Krasnoyarsk “Dawn”, who played in the “Siberia” zone of the third league. A team from the school of the same name was taken under the care of the administration of Krasnoyarsk, and the goal was to enter the second division in 2011. In August, the club’s leaders, due to poor results, fired head coach Alexander Stikhin and appointed Belokhonov [3] [4] [5] to replace him.
Under the guidance of a young mentor, “Dawn” reached the semifinals of the Siberian Cup and took third place in the championship of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, however, in the “Siberia” zone he was only fourth [6] [7] [8] . After the end of the 2010 season, Belokhonov left the team, which in the end did not transfer to the PFL [9] .
In 2011, Vadim Belokhonov became the head of the new Krasnoyarsk football team "Restoration" [10] . In this position, the specialist worked for five years, after which he left for Tomsk . Having worked as a trainer in a children's school and achieved good success, in May 2018 Belokhonov joined the Tomi structure, where he helps the mentor of the youth team.
