History
Oasis Decay (2009—2010)
In 2009, Noel Gallagher resigned from the Oasis group, announcing that he could no longer be on the same stage with his brother Liam . After that, rumors immediately spread about Noel's possible solo career. Gallagher Sr. knew very well that the expectations from his solo disc would be extremely high and he would not be able to avoid comparisons with Oasis, and, most importantly, with his brother’s new works, Beady Eye . In the end, in 2010, it announced the creation of Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds. Noel borrowed the idea of the name from the album Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac, as well as from the title of the song " High Flying Bird " by Jefferson Airplane.
Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds and self-titled album (2011-2012)
After the collapse of Oasis , Noel decided to seriously pursue his further career in the music industry. [ style ] . On July 6, 2011, Gallagher held a press conference in London, during which he announced that Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds would release the self-titled album on October 17, and his joint album with Amorphous Androgynous in 2012.
In July of that year, he released his debut single, “The Death of You and Me,” which received positive reviews from critics. “If I Had a Gun ...” - Noel’s first single in the US became available on the Apple Store on September 20, 2011. In collaboration with Amorphous Androgynous (aka The Future Sound of London ) on their Tales of Ephidrina , he said: “It reminds me of“ Dark Side of the Moon ”, Pink Floyd . The sound is similar to High Flying Birds, but in contrast, it is more psychedelic. This is not an electronic project! People resort to this conclusion only because Amorphous Androgynous used to specialize in it themselves ... "
At the next press conference, explaining his new solo material and connection with other projects, the musician said that cooperation is damn far. I got 18 tracks from this, some from German rock, some from the soul, some from funk in general and this is just for one song .
In 2011, the group released its debut album, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds , which immediately managed to top the UK chart, as well as receive a lot of positive reviews from critics. The disc also received a two-platinum certification from BPI and sold around the world with a circulation of 2.5 million copies. On March 16, 2012, Noel announced the release of his next mini album titled Songs from the Great White North exclusively for Record Shop Day on April 21, 2012. He also explained that his work will consist of b-sides, and will also include his recent track with Amorphous Androgynous “Shoot a Hole Into the Sun”.
Chasing Yesterday (2013 — Present)
October 13, 2014 Noel Gallagher announced the release of the new album "Chasing Yesterday", the first single from the album In the Heat of the moment, as well as the next tour in the UK and Europe. The release of the new single is scheduled for November 17, 2014; the release of the album is scheduled for March 2, 2015.
