Biography
Derek Bock was born in Brin-Mar ( Pennsylvania ). He received his professional education at Stanford University (1951, bachelor), at Harvard Law School (1954, doctor of law). Then he continued his education at the Paris Institute for Political Studies and at George Washington University (1958, master).
Since 1958 he taught at the Harvard Law School, in 1968-1971 he was the dean of the Harvard Law School, in 1971-1991 he was president of Harvard University , and in 2006-2007 he acted as president of Harvard.
