The financial police of Kazakhstan are being abolished with the transfer of anti- corruption functions to the newly created Agency for Civil Service and Anti-Corruption , said President Nursultan Nazarbayev , speaking at an expanded meeting of the Government of Kazakhstan on August 6, 2014 .

Tasks
According to the Regulation on the Agency, the main tasks are:
- ensuring within the powers of economic security of the state, legal rights and interests of business entities, society and the state;
- prevention, detection, suppression, disclosure and investigation of corruption, economic and financial crimes and offenses;
- participation in the development and implementation of state policy in the field of combating corruption and crime in the economic sphere;
- international cooperation on matters within the jurisdiction of the financial police.
