Bazhov places

"Bazhevsky places" - a natural park (a specially protected natural area) in the Sysert urban district of the Sverdlovsk region . The Bazhovskiye Mesty Natural Park was established on April 4, 2007, and is endowed with the status of a specially protected natural area [1] [2] . The territory of the Bazhovskiye Mesty natural park is located 60 km south of Yekaterinburg and occupies 40,000 hectares on the lands of the forest fund of the Federal State Institution Sysert Forestry. The park is named after the famous Ural writer Pavel Petrovich Bazhov , these places are described in his works.

Environmental Education

“Biosphere” is a new project of the Bazhov Places Natural Park, which will include several new and interesting experiments on efficient environmental management, waste management and much more. Project goal: to prove the effectiveness and profitability of the use of environmental technologies in mass tourism, the management of state property (specifically, specially protected natural areas) using the example of our Nature Park.

“Waste Management” - placement of containers for separate waste storage in the territory of the Bazhov Places Natural Park: separately for plastic and glass, organic waste and metal containers (aluminum and tin cans).

“Second Life” - the use of recycled materials in the construction of the tourism and navigation infrastructure of the Natural Park.

"Step forward" - non-standard use of materials from recyclable and non-recyclable waste.

Biotechnology

Park employees are working to increase the number and species diversity of wild animals. Particular attention is paid to ungulates. By the time of the creation of the Park, poaching and barbarian attitudes on the part of hunting farms, the number of ungulates was minimized. The number of birds and fur animals has seriously decreased.

Since the creation of the specially protected area, employees have not only been involved in security, but have also carried out various biotechnical activities . In the territory free from hunting, 5 feeding grounds for wild boar , 6 feeding roes for roe deer were created, 19 salt licks were equipped. A total of 12 hectares of food fields are plowed and sown annually. With the support of the Department for the Protection and Use of the Wildlife, 8 nests for owls have been equipped.

Work is underway on laying paths during periods of infusion and high snow cover. Regular feeding of wild boar and roe deer has been established. In total, the Park inspectors exported more than 45 tons of grain and bread forages for wild boar, more than 2 tons of hay for roe deer to the feeders, 1000 pieces of salted brooms were harvested and hung, about 300 kg of salt was laid out on salt licks.
