Germonax , an ancient Greek vase painter, worked in Athens around 470-440 BC. e. in the technique of red-figure vase painting.
It is believed that Hermonax could be a student of the Berlin vase painter , however, the influence of the latter is felt exclusively in the artist's early works. At least 10 works signed by him are known, although the John Beasley archive contains a description of about 200 vases of the authorship of Hermonax, among which there are more common stamnos , peliks , lekifs , hydrias . However, he also painted small vases, in particular, neck amphoras and lutrophors . Archonologists find the works of Hermonax throughout Great Greece - from modern Marseille to the Northern Black Sea coast.
