Root pressure

Root pressure is the pressure in the conducting vessels of plant roots , which is based on the phenomenon of osmosis, a process of one-sided diffusion through a semipermeable membrane of the root cells that release mineral and organic substances into the vessels, which creates a higher pressure than in the soil solution. Together with transpiration, the root pressure causes the apiary (water and the nutrients dissolved in it) to rise up the plant stem. Reaches 1-3, up to 10, at; the force depends on the presence of oxygen and temperature, as a result of which the maximum pressure is observed during the day and the minimum at night [1] .
