History
In 1894, the outfitting of the first female Orthodox monastery in the Vybog and Finland diocese , which received the status of a community on August 10, 1896, and on August 19, 1905, began at the country estate of the head marshal D. A. Shepelev , acquired by the Privy Councilor F. P. Nero - the status of the monastery . By 1909, a wooden church was built in the name of the Holy Trinity [1] .
In 1917, after the Grand Duchy of Finland gained independence, the monastery ended up in Finland .
In 1939, during the Soviet-Finnish war and the evacuation of the population of Finnish Karelia , the nuns left the monastery on the Karelian Isthmus , moving to the town of Palokki and founding a new Lintul monastery in Eastern Finland , near the New Valaam Monastery .
In 2004, the sisters of the Konstantin-Eleninsky Monastery began the restoration of monastic life in Lintul Monastery. [2]
