Shawn Meghan Burn is an associate professor of psychology at the California Polytechnic University, where she teaches social psychology , environmental psychology, research methodology, and group dynamics. In 1988, she was awarded a doctorate in social psychology at the Clermont School of Postgraduate Education. She is a specialist in the field of applied social psychology, dealing with the issues of socio-psychological principles of resolving social problems, private environmental problems, and intergroup conflicts. Her research work is devoted to factors contributing to the preservation of traditional gender norms, as well as the dynamics of social identification in the struggle for equality and the negative reaction that this struggle often causes in society. The author of the book "Gender Psychology" [1] . This book is devoted to research on the psychology of sex (gender) .
He is a member of the American Psychological Association, the Society for the Psychology of Women, and the Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues.
