Biography
Carolie Carmello was born on September 1, 1962 in Albany . She studied at the State New York University in Albany [1] . She made her debut in 1989, playing a small role in the musical " City of Angels ." In 1999, she played Lucille Frank, the leading female character in the musical Parade based on the biography of Leo Max Frank . The show received mostly positive reviews [2] . Carmello was nominated for Tony , and also won the Drama Desk Award for Best Musical Actress.
In 2006, she played one of the main roles, Gabrielle de Lioncourt , in the musical “ Lestat ” [3] , for which she was nominated for the Tony and Drama Desk awards. Since 2001 plays Donna Sheridan in Mamma Mia! " [4] . In 2010, she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress in Drama Desk and the Outer Critics Circle Award for playing in the musical The Addams Family [5] .
Married to actor Gregg Idelman . Has two children [6] .
