Lev Alekseevich Orekhov ( September 17, 1932 , Tula - February 18, 1995 , Uzlovaya , Tula Region ) - Soviet and Russian economic leader, director of the Uzlovsky Chemical Plant (now OJSC Plastic ) in 1965-1995, an honorary citizen of the city of Uzlovaya .

Biography

Born September 17, 1932 in Tula [1] .

At the end of the Tula Mechanical Institute, he came to work at the Uzlovsky Machine-Building Plant as a design engineer (January 3, 1959) overhead cranes. For 6 years, he has gone from a design engineer, the head of a hydraulic equipment group, the chief designer of the project to the head of the mechanical assembly shop. December 16, 1963 Orekhov was elected chairman of the trade union committee [2] .

On July 1, 1965, by the decision of the Tula Council of National Economy, L. A. Orekhov was appointed director of the Uzlovsky Chemical Plant , to whose construction and management he gave 30 years of his life. In a relatively short period of time, a small chemical plant has become one of the largest enterprises in the country's chemical industry and one of the main city-forming enterprises [3] .

Simultaneously with the development of the plant in Uzlovaya, large-scale housing construction began. As a result, a new microdistrict appeared in the center of the city, the volume of housing in the 5th Pyatiletka settlement doubled [2] [3] . The author of eight inventions [1] .

At house number 48 on the street Beklemishchev in the city of Uzlov in his honor opened a memorial plaque. By the decision of the Assembly of Deputies of the MO of Uzlovaya dated October 3, 2006 No. 12-66, the title “Honorary Citizen of the City of Uzlovaya” was awarded [1] .
