Clavellisa cordata (lat.) Is a species of ectoparasitic copepods from the family Lernaeopodidae . They live in sea , brackish and fresh water, in the Gulf of Maine and the northwest Atlantic [1] . Parasites on gills [2] of various herring fish, including blue-backed fish, American shad , serospinos and Atlantic herring [1] .
