East Window

The east window is an important enameled stained glass window made in 1791 by Francis Eginton, made as an altar painting by Benjamin West (circa 1786), which is now kept at the Dallas Museum of Art [3] [4] . It depicts an episode of Paul’s life “ The Way to Damascus ”.

Authority

The church has excellent acoustics, and for a long time concerts have been held in it, in 2012 the most popular solo organ series 'Thursday Live' by Paul Carr , organist and conductor.

The first documented mention of an organ in a church is the construction of an organ in 1830 by James Bishop. It was located in the gallery, at the western end of the church. Banfield enlarged the organ in 1838 to include a new side keyboard, probably replacing the old one. Bevington and Sons rebuilt and expanded the organ in 1871, and again in 1897.

The organ was transferred to its current location in 1927 by Conacher Sheffield and the company ( Conacher Sheffield & Co. ), with a significant alteration.

After military injuries and weather-related injuries, in 1953 the organ fell into disrepair, in particular, the side keyboard was completely bombed. Hill, Norman & Beard rebuilt the organ in 1964, and this organ still exists, with some additions from 1996. It mixes mechanical and electro-pneumatic actions and decks of various sizes.

Bells

The first ringing bells appeared in the church in 2005. Prior to this, the church had three bells, used as service and bells for chimes. A new system of ten bells was installed in honor of the 250th anniversary of the Guild of Church Belliers of St. Martin and officially opened on November 25, 2005. The tenor weighs 641 kilograms.
