Honey plants ( Latin Melianthaceae ) - a family of flowering plants of the order geranium . The APG II system includes this family in the rosida treasure . All representatives, as a rule, are trees and shrubs growing in tropical and southern Africa . Often referred to as the honey family, the Francoev family, consisting of two monotypic genera, common in Chile .
