Berger, Lothar

Lothar Berger ( German: Lothar Berger ; December 31, 1900 - November 5, 1971 ) - German military commander, major general of the Wehrmacht , commander of the 75th Infantry Division during World War II . Knight of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves , the highest order of the Third Reich . Captured by British troops in May 1945 . Released from captivity in 1946 .
