Geography
The village of Lapshaur is located 4 km southeast of the district center - the village of Bazarny Syzgan, on the right bank of the Syzgan river . Altitude 284 m [2] .
History
The name of the village comes from the Ugro-Finnish formants “noodles” (flat, flat) and “ur” (place).
It was part of the Karsun district of Simbirsk province .
In Soviet times, it was the center of the village council.
