Orchid

Orchidant ( lat. Orchidantha ) is a genus of flowering plants , isolated into an independent family Lovievye ( lat. Lowiaceae ) of the order imbire color . Representatives of the previously isolated genus Lovia ( Lowia ), Protamomum ( Protamomum ) and Wolfia ( Wolfia ) belong to it . The orchidant remains a poorly studied genus, containing more than a dozen species common in southern China and in Borneo . Translated from Latin, "orchid" means "orchid-like flower", since one petal of orchid is transformed into a lip (labellum), like that of orchids. One species, Orchidantha inouei from Borneo , mimics the smell of manure to attract pollinators - dung beetles of the genus Onthophagus .
