It is part of the Bolshecharpunikovsky rural settlement .
History
It was founded in 1785 by Tatars- immigrants from the Kazan province [2] (according to other sources in 1780 [3] ). In 1816, 29 families lived in Maly Chapurniki (100 male souls and 92 female souls), in 1835 there were already 71 families, 267 men and 255 women. In 1858, 2 oil mustard plants operated in the village of Malye Chapurniki, with an annual turnover of 5315 rubles, goods were sold in the Astrakhan and Saratov provinces. In 1878, in the village of Malye Chapurniki there were 174 yards, 575 men and 593 women. In the village there was a Tatar mosque, a school, a bread shop, 2 trading shops [3] . In 1914, in Maly Chapurniki there were 458 households, 1262 men and 1211 women [4] .
As of 1936, Maly Chapurniki was the center of the independent Malo-Chapurnikovsky Village Council. In 1954, the Malo-Chapurnikovsky Village Council was annexed to the Bolshe-Chapurnikovsky Village Council [5] .
Physico-geographical characteristics
The village is located in the steppe within the Sarpinskaya lowland , which is the northwestern part of the Caspian lowland, south of the mouth, south of the mouth of the Chapurnikovskaya beam . The village is stretched along the western shore of Lake Sarpa [6] . The average altitude is 10 meters. In the vicinity, solonetzes (automorphic) and light chestnut soils are widespread [7] .
By road, the distance to the regional center of Volgograd (to the city center) is 41 km (to the southern border of the city - 4 km), to the regional center of the village of Svetly Yar - 20 km [8] . Through the village passes the federal highway "Caspian" (Access to the city of Elista) P22
- Climate
The climate is continental , arid, with hot summers and relatively cold and low snowy winters (according to the Köppen – Dfa climate classification ). The average annual air temperature is +8.7 ° C. The average temperature of the coldest January is −7.1 ° С, the hottest month of July +24.6 ° С. The long-term rainfall is 367 mm. During the year, the amount of precipitation is distributed relatively evenly: the least amount of precipitation falls in March-April (23 mm each) and October (22 mm each), the largest amount - in June and December (37 mm each) [9] .
