Biography
Alexey Blinov was born on March 18, 1918 in the village of Kharinskoye (now the Yegoryevsky district of the Moscow region ). In 1930, he graduated from seven classes of a school in Yegoryevsk , and then - a factory apprenticeship school at the 6th furniture factory in Moscow , after which he worked at this factory. At the same time he studied at the flying club. In December 1939 he was called up for service in the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army . In November 1940, Blinov graduated from the Borisoglebsk Military Aviation School of Pilots, after which he served as an instructor pilot in it. Since November 1941 - on the fronts of World War II. Until April 1942 he was a pilot of the 631st fighter regiment, in April-July 1942 - a pilot of the 802th fighter aviation regiment, July-October 1942 - a pilot of the 171st fighter aviation regiment, in October 1942 - July 1943 - a pilot of 19- th fighter aviation regiment, in July 1943 - March 1945 - senior pilot, later deputy squadron commander of the 297th (since July 1944 - 179th guards) fighter aviation regiment. In March-May 1945 he was deputy commander of an air squadron of the 177th Guards Fighter Aviation Regiment [1] .
Participated in battles on the South-Western , Bryansk , Voronezh , Stepnoy , 2nd Ukrainian fronts. He took part in the defense of Voronezh , Ostrogozhsk-Rossoshanskaya , Voronezh-Kastornensky operations , battles in the Kursk and beyond the Dnieper , the liberation of Ukraine , Iasi-Chisinau , Debrecen , Budapest , Vienna and Prague operations. During his participation in the battles, he made 275 sorties on the MiG-3 and La-5 fighters, took part in 63 air battles, during which he personally shot down 13 enemy aircraft [2] . Towards the end of the Guard War, Senior Lieutenant Aleksey Blinov was deputy commander of the air squadron of the 177th Guards Fighter Aviation Regiment of the 14th Guards Fighter Air Division of the 3rd Guards Fighter Air Corps of the 5th Air Army of the 2nd Ukrainian Front [1] .
By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of February 23, 1948, Captain Alexei Blinov was awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union with the Order of Lenin and the Golden Star medal number 8308 [1] for the “courage and heroism shown in battles” of the guard.
After the war he continued to serve in the Soviet Army, until August 1946 he served in the Southern Group of Forces , after which he was transferred to the reserve. He worked at the Chkalov Central Aero Club, participated in military parades in Tushino , for which he was awarded the Order of the Red Star and two orders of the Badge of Honor . Since October 1951 he again served in the army. He commanded the Yak-11 aircraft unit of the 66th Separate Mixed Aviation Squadron of the Air Force of the Moscow Military District . Since February 1953, Blinov was a pilot of the Po-2 aircraft in the same squadron, since June of that year he became the second pilot of the transport aviation squadron of the 978th separate training air defense aviation regiment [1] .
On October 29, 1955, the military tribunal of the Moscow Air Defense District found captain Alexei Blinov guilty of rape and sentenced him to 7 years in prison . In December 1955, Blinov was dismissed from the ranks of the Soviet Army. By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of May 25, 1956, he was deprived of all ranks and awards. Released from prison, he lived in Moscow [1] .
By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of January 30, 1974, Blinov was reinstated in the title of Hero of the Soviet Union and rights to awards [1] .
January 8, 1982 was hit by a car. He was buried in Moscow at the Kuzminsky cemetery [1] .
He was also awarded two Orders of the Red Banner and a number of medals [1] .
