The 22nd session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee was held from November 30 to December 5, 1998 , in Kyoto , Japan . 30 sites have been submitted to the UNESCO World Heritage List. 27 objects of cultural heritage and 3 natural heritage. Thus, the total number of registrations reached 582 (444 cultural heritage, 20 mixed and 18 natural descriptions of heritage).
