Pisarev, Alexey Afanasevich

Aleksei Afanasyevich Pisarev ( August 20, 1909 , Petersburg - September 19, 1960 ) - Russian Soviet ballet dancer , soloist of the S. Kirov Leningrad Opera and Ballet Theater , teacher and methodologist of classical ballet. Honored Artist of the Bashkir Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic ( 1947 ) [1] .

Biography

He graduated from the Leningrad Choreographic School in 1928 (the class of Vladimir Ponomarev ). In 1928 - 1950 , he was a soloist in the ballet of the Leningrad Opera and Ballet Theater named after S. M. Kirov .

In 1939-1960 he taught classical dance at the Leningrad Choreographic School . Among his students: Askold Makarov , Yuri Grigorovich , Konstantin Shatilov, Vsevolod Ukhov, Ilya Gaft and others. Together with Vera Kostrovitskaya, he became the author of the textbook School of Classical Dance (1968), which was repeatedly reprinted.
