History

Basketball in Krizhevtsy has a long history. In 1971, the Radnik club was founded, which showed good results in the Yugoslav basketball championship , but then seriously lost ground. In the championships of independent Croatia, Radnik played in the second-strongest league A2, not rising there above 5 places. In 2008, a group of basketball enthusiasts from Krizhevtsy, dissatisfied with the results of Radnik and enlisting the support of sponsors, established a new basketball club, “BC Krizhevtsy”. The club started in league A2 from the season 2009-2010 and immediately performed quite successfully, taking second place in the North group [1] . In the 2010–2011 season, the team excelled in the North group and won a ticket to the A1 league, where it made its debut in the 2011–2012 season, following which it became the 9th of 11 participants in the regular championship, and took 9-14 places in the tournament highest 9th place. In the 2012–2013 season, she took 8th out of 10 places in the regular tournament, in the tournament for 9-14 places she became 13, after which she won a place in the top division in transitional matches with the Shkrlevo team. In the 2013-2014 season, she took 9th out of 10 places in the regular tournament, in the tournament for 9-14 places she became 11, which allowed her to keep her place in the top division, but later, for financial reasons, the team abandoned the place in League A1 and moved to League A2.
