Biography

Born January 8, 1923 in Belgrade . After graduating from school, she moved to Niš, where she joined a revolutionary youth organization. She was a member of the Union of Communist Youth of Yugoslavia, who collaborated with the School of Economics in Nis, but did not study at that school. After the start of the war with Germany, she began to buy weapons and equip the partisans with all possible weapons. In September 1941, she joined the partisan detachment in Toplich, taking the post of courier of the CPU district committee in Nis.

She participated in battles not only against German policemen, but also against Bulgarian troops and chetniki. In March 1942, she was ambushed by the followers, after three days of torture and humiliation she was transferred into captivity by the Bulgarians. The Bulgarians organized the exact same torture and then handed it over to the German administration in Nis. Was sent to the concentration camp Crveni Krst . January 9, 1943 was shot not far from Bubani by German occupiers.

By the decree of Josip Broz, Tito of October 9, 1953, was awarded posthumously the title of National Hero of Yugoslavia.
