Liberal Democratic Party (Angola)

The Liberal Democratic Party ( port. Partido Liberal Democrático ) is a liberal party in the Republic of Angola , since 1999 - a member of the Liberal International . It was founded in Portugal in 1983 by Analia de Victoria Pereira, the first woman politician in the country to apply for high government posts.

After legalization in the country, the party participated in the 1992 elections, gaining 3 seats in parliament and gaining 2.4% of the vote. However, in the 2008 election, the party gained only 0.88% of the vote and was unable to apply for parliamentary seats.
