History
Since 1913, these places have been part of Zhengxian County (郑 县). In 1948, a distinction was made: the urbanized territory of the county was allocated to the city of Zhengzhou, and only the countryside remained in the county. The territory of the city was divided into four districts, and these places became District No. 2.
In 1955, in order to perpetuate the memory of the strike of the workers of the Jinghai Railway on February 7, 1923, the district was renamed Ertsi (“2-7”).
Administrative Division
The district is divided into 13 street committees , 1 village and 1 volost .
