The only planetarium in the Far East worked from the 1960s through the first half of the 1990s .
It housed in the building of the Innokentyevsky temple, the first stone church of Khabarovsk, built in the second half of the 19th century .
The Khabarovsk Planetarium collaborated with the Khabarovsk State Pedagogical Institute , lectures were delivered by teachers and graduate students of this university. Worked children's astronomical circle.
In the first half of the 1990s, the building was transferred to the Khabarovsk and Amur Dioceses of the Russian Orthodox Church , after reconstruction it was used for its original purpose .
The device , manufactured by Carl Zeiss [1] , was dismantled and taken to the warehouse. The city authorities claimed that the construction of a new building would begin in the near future, but this did not happen. The fate of unique scientific instruments is currently not reported.
In 2015—2016 reconstructed park them. Yuri Gagarin ( Industrial District ), in the newspaper Khabarovsk Vesti [2] it was reported that the construction of a new Khabarovsk Planetarium in the park was under consideration.
