The Kurenga is a river in the Trans-Baikal Territory of Russia , the right tributary of the Shilka . The river originates in the southeastern spurs of the Borschovochny Range . The length of the river is 113 km, the catchment area is 1720 km² [2] . The average annual flow at the mouth is 0.09 km³.

Duration of ice cover is 170–200 days: ice cover is usually set at the end of October and collapses at the end of April.
